Video Inspection & Line Location
A battery-powered transmitter is placed inside the line or tank to be located. It emits a powerful signal which penetrates the wall of the line, the earth, and the surface that covers it. The operator uses a receiver to pick up these signals and pinpoint the exact location of the transmitter in the line. The receiver converts the transmitter’s signal into a sound so the operator actually hears the transmitter they are trying to locate. By reading the meter and listening to the strength of the tone coming through the speaker, our experienced technician can pinpoint the transmitter’s exact location.
